Service Description

Have you always wanted to pick your own flowers to create arrangements but don't know where to start? Do you dream of growing your own flowers especially for cutting to bring into your home? Perhaps you'd like to create a cutting patch in your garden or at your allotment and don't want to make expensive and time wasting mistakes. Maybe you don't want to buy supermarket flowers anymore and would like to grow your own! Perhaps you just want someone to 'hold your hand' telling you what and when to sow as you have a busy schedule. Helier & Sophie teach you how to grow hardy annual cut flowers from seed for your cutting patch or garden. This 8 week ONLINE course will show you how to sow the seeds and what conditions they will need to grow. They will show you how to plan your patch to get optimal flowers ready for the following season. Video sessions will be held in a private and social Facebook group where you can ask questions to fully immerse yourself in the growing experience. Helier & Sophie 'hold you hand' as we grow together from seed to plant and will discuss how to either plant outside or support your seedlings over the winter in the greenhouse or cold frame. It would be optimal to have a greenhouse, coldframe, zippy greenhouse or similar to enable you to overwinter some of your seedlings. We have many growers from overseas who source their own seeds to join us on our courses. You could also choose different varieties of the same seeds to grow with us, The seeds are not included in the price of the course but when you book, we do offer you a discount on our curated box. THE SESSION ON THE 24th AUGUST IS THE WELCOME LIVE. Other video sessions will follow later in the course in a private Facebook group. The schedule of lives will emailed to you as soon as you book. We are sowing hardy annuals; Cornflowers, Larkspur, Orlaya, Antirrhinums, Ammi, Scabious, Poppies, Sweet peas, Daucus and Gypsophilia.
