Service Description

Together, we will be sowing a fabulous collection of biennial seeds. These will flower in 2025. Have you always wanted to pick your own flowers to create arrangements but don't know where to start? Do you dream of growing your own flowers especially for cutting to bring into your home? Perhaps you'd like to create a cutting patch in your garden or at your allotment and don't want to make expensive and time wasting mistakes. Maybe you don't want to buy supermarket flowers anymore and would like to grow your own! Perhaps you just want someone to 'hold your hand' telling you what and when to sow as you have a busy schedule. The summer collection box will be available soon. The varieties we are growing are: Cheiranthus cheiri "Wallflower F1 Sugar Rush Purple Bicolour" Lunaria annua "Honesty" Dianthus barbatus "Sweet William Super Double Mixed" Hesperis matronalis Purple Sweet Rocket Aquilegia caerulea "Mckana Giant Hybrids" Digitalis Dalmation Peach Daucus carota "Dara" Canterbury Bells calycanthema Mixed Papaver nudicaule "Champagne Bubbles Mixed' Alcea rosea "Hollyhock double rose pink' This course is suited to beginner gardeners, gardeners with some sowing knowledge, people who are looking to grow more flowers for cutting and anyone interested in growing biennials. We have added all our favourite varieties in 2024 and a 2 floristry sessions to enable course members to fully enjoy their flowers (maybe grown on previous courses!). A greenhouse is NOT needed for the summer course. This course would be a super 'conclusion' for all that have grown with us throughout 2024 OR a start for anyone wanting to grow cut flowers into 2025. You could choose different varieties of the same seeds to grow with us, The seeds are not included in the price of the course but when you book, we do offer you a discount on our curated box. Live and recorded sessions will be held in a private and social Facebook group meaning you can watch them whenever is convenient for you. We will ‘hold your hand’ throughout the sowing, potting on and planting out from seed to seedling. No question is too small and we will respond within the Facebook group creating a community of growers. Why sow and grow alone in your greenhouse when you can join the sows and grows community! The FIRST session is on May 7th at 9am. Other sessions will follow in the Facebook group.
