Service Description

Have you always wanted to pick your own flowers to create arrangements but don't know where to start? Do you dream of growing your own flowers especially for cutting to bring into your home? Perhaps you'd like to create a cutting patch in your garden or at your allotment and don't want to make expensive and time wasting mistakes. Maybe you don't want to buy supermarket flowers anymore and would like to grow your own! Perhaps you just want someone to 'hold your hand' telling you what and when to sow as you have a busy schedule. In this 8 week online winter/early spring sowing course, Helier and Sophie show you how to sow and grow a number of perennial seeds for the cutting garden. They will also show you how to fully enjoy the flowers in your garden with some different floral arrangements for you to try. This course is suited to growers with some experience. You will need a greenhouse or cold frame to grow these flowers with us successfully. This course is a great addition for growers who have completed our Spring, Summer and Autumn courses as well as a 'stand alone' course. Sophie and Helier will host Live sowing sessions in a private Facebook Group over a period of 8 weeks with an additional series of weeks for after care. Helier & Sophie 'hold your hand' as we grow together from seed to plant. You can watch live or else they will be saved so you can access them whenever suits you. You can ask questions at any time to fully immerse yourself in the growing experience. The seeds are not included in the price of the course but sows and grows has its own curated box which you may like to buy alongside the course. We have many growers from overseas who source their own seeds to join us on our courses. We shall be sowing the following seeds: Achillea Ptarmica 'The Pearl' Cephalaria Gigantea (Giant Scabiosa) Linaria Purpurea 'Canon Went' Verbena Bonariensis Scabiosa Caucasia 'Fama White' Eryngium 'Blue Glitter' Echinops Ritro Silene Vulgaris ‘Bladder Campion’ Penstemon Barbatus 'Jingle bells' Agastache Rigosa 'Liquorice White' The accompanying seed box is available to buy in our shop. https://www.sowsandgrows.co.uk/shop The Welcome live is on the 5th February but others will follow each week of the course. All lives will take place in the Facebook group and are recorded for you to watch when it is suitable for you.
